Our Community.

Methven is a place where community values thrive, Kiwi culture is embraced and where industry and environment work in harmony.  We love our spectacular back yard and take care to protect it for future generations to enjoy....

Here, we look out for one another. There are many examples of the community pulling together to make things happen.  Volunteers drive our fire service, ambulance and community groups that rescue, save and provide in times of need.

An Adventurous Life.

There’s something special life in Methven. It’s the ultimate balance between work and play, all with the backdrop of our alpine wonderland. There majestic mountains, an abundance of rivers, pristine lakes and farmland as far as the eye can see.  Grab a rod and head into the mountains for some fly fishing. Strap on your hiking boots and discover an endless number of walking and hiking tracks through spectacular scenery.

If you’re up for an adrenalin rush then take your jet boat for a spin up the mighty Rakaia River for some braided action. If you don’t have one then all good cause your neighbour most likely will!
